Centina has been awarded the construction of a new Family Entertainment Centre, located at Churchill Centre North.
Delivered for ICAM and Southern Cross Equity Group, the project will introduce two large-format tenancies for Flip Out and BattleKart, creating an exciting recreational destination for the local community scheduled for opening in May 2027.
The development includes approximately 4,000m² of built form, associated car parking, upgrades to the existing pedestrian walkway, and an extension to the rear car park. The project also requires careful integration within the site’s heritage overlay, with consideration given to the neighbouring Islington Railway Electrical Workshop buildings and broader historical character of the precinct.
Churchill Centre North is one of Adelaide’s best performing subregional shopping centres, home to South Australia’s only Costco, as well as Coles, Kmart, Aldi and TKMaxx, and a vibrant restaurant precinct. The Islington Railway Workshops played an important role in South Australia’s industrial and transport history for more than a century, and we’re proud to contribute to the next chapter of this evolving site through the delivery of modern, community-focused infrastructure.
This also marks Centina’s second project with ICAM, following our engagement last year to deliver upgrades at Kings Park Retirement Village. We look forward to continuing the relationship and working collaboratively with the wider project team as construction progresses.
